Candle Magick

Candles themselves hold deep meaning in the craft and have been used for centuries. When it comes to candle magick, you’re tapping into an ancient source of power.  Each spell you cast and each ritual you perform can heighten your magick with certain correspondences.

Color is very important in candle magick. Colors have subtle influences and each one vibrates at a different frequency. Because of the different effects
of color on the human psyche and the surrounding environment, different
colored candles are used for different magical end-results

  • White Candle

    White may  replace any other color candle when that color is not available. It represents purity and innocence, spiritual enlightenment, cleansing, clairvoyance, healing, truth-seeking, clarity, unity, dawn, purification, peace, truth, protection, spirituality, peace, spiritual strength. It also heals emotions, repels negativity and provides protection. It symbolizes the Maiden aspect of the Triple Goddess

  • Black Candle

    Black is a strong and banishing color. Black absorbs all colors and is often used to absorb or banish negative energy. It reverses curses and hexes. It is used for protection, banishing, repelling black magick or negative energy from others and ridding of bad habits. It enhances inner strength, resilience, and self-control, and can be used in meditation to delve deeper into the unconscious. It is also burned for powerful healing and support through loss and grief, represents the Crone aspect of the Triple Goddess.

1 Pink, Red, or Self Love Spell Fixed Candle

Heat resistant surface or candle holder
Incense or Diosa Energy Cleansing Bundle
1 Bay Leaf

Hand Mirror
 Pen or sharpie to write
 Anointing Oil or Avocado Oil


Preparation

To prepare for your self-love ritual, choose the day of the week to harness its energy which will assist your magick. Monday ruled by the moon and its association to emotions. Friday is ruled by the planet Venus (planet of love, beauty) and zodiac Taurus, sign of sensuality.

Start off by picking up around your home and cleaning all mirrors around your home including your hand mirror. Following this take a shower or bath. Take a moment to clear your mind and center yourself as this begins your ritual.
Visualize the water cleanse the negative energy, wash away the self doubt, wash away anything that no longer serves you. Venus is associates with the zodiac Taurus which is all about enjoying sensuality. Focus on this while you take in the smells of you body wash, shampoo and conditioner as you glamorize yourself, wash yourself and honor this moment you are giving yourself.

After your Shower or Bath wear pink, red or anything that makes you feel beautiful, confident and comfortable. Channeling the energy you want to bring into your life.




How to perform Ritual:


Sit in a comfortable position in front of your candle and mirror.

Light Incense or Energy Cleansing Bundle, run candle thru the smoke to “reset” the energy to allow it to connect to you.

Hold candle close to your heart and while looking into your  mirror say what loving energy you’d like to bring into your life:


 Self - Love
 Confidence
 Self- Esteem
Self- Empowerment
Etc…

Take a few drops of anointing oil or avocado oil and anoint your candle moving the oil from the base to wick towards you repeating what you’d like to attract to you.
This anointing process imparts your energy to the candle and forges a psychic link. By physically touching the candle during this anointing procedure you are charging it with your own personal vibrations and also concentrating the desire of your Magickal act into the wax. The candle is becoming an extension of your mental power and life energy.


Prop Candle to Reflect off your mirror while still being able to see your reflection.

 At this time write what you wish to bring into your life on bay leaf with the sharpie.

When you are ready place the candle in a heat resistant surface or candle holder (for safety) and light candle.

Now that your candle is lit, burn bay leaf with your wish.

As your candle burns sit with it meditate on the energy you want. See yourself as the strong confident witch you are in your mirror. Feel what it would be to have complete confidence in yourself, compassion, radical self love and acceptance for yourself. At this time maybe just sit with your candle, cry if you need to as it’s powerful and healing or maybe journal your feelings as you sit at your altar the safe space you’ve created for yourself.

You can do this ritual for 15mins every Monday or Friday snuffing the candle out and relighting on a Monday or Friday again or sit and meditate as the candle burn throughout.

Instructions

In a comfortable seated position take a few breaths and set intention for your spell

Light Pionera De Paz Bundle or Incense run candle through smoke allowing it to clear away any energy previously absorbed. Continue cleaning the reaming of your tools, the jar of choice, crystals, dines, and success correspondences.

Using your writing utensil write symbols ($) or desired wish on bay leaf

Drop Bay Leaf into jar

Hold the 7 dimes on your right hand and one by one drop into jar while envisioning your wealth and prosperity growing.

Include you success correspondences in your jar, drop any crystals you wish to include, basil and cinnamon stick.

Close your jar with lid

Hold Candle close to your heart and take a few breaths, with a sharp end carve any symbols or words ($, Money, Prosperity etc) onto candle.

Anoint Candle using Atraer Dinero Anointing Oil or Olive Oil .This imparts your special energies to your candle and forges a psychic link. Light Candle and place on top of jar and allow to burn sealing your spell.
